Solutions

1. We are skip counting by 7's because to go the number into the subsequent number we have to add 7. The next three numbers which would appear could be the numbers 77,84, 91.

2. 2. counting by 10's starting at 1000 and working backwards would require us to subtract 10 from 1,000 for one number. The beginning number will be 990. Then we keep counting, going down by 10 each time. Therefore, the first 5 numbers that appear would be 980, 990, 970 and 960.
